Internship Program – National Community Church

Location: 700 M Street SE, Washington, DC
Employment Type: Unpaid / Hybrid
Reports To: NCC Learning Director, The Dream Collective

Position Summary

As an intern at National Community Church (NCC), you will play a vital role in supporting one of our most dynamic departments, contributing to our mission of helping build and enrich lives across various communities in DC and beyond. This opportunity is ideal for those who are passionate about gaining hands-on experience in a faith-based organization while developing professional and spiritual skills.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist department leaders in the planning and execution of programs.
  • Participate in the administrative tasks specific to your department which may include managing inventory, supporting event logistics, or content creation, among others.
  • Collaborate with team members on projects and initiatives that enhance our community engagement.
  • Attend and contribute to department meetings and church-wide events as needed.

  • Actively engage in regular team meetings and training sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to foster a positive working environment.
  • Uphold NCC’s core values and contribute to the ministry’s strategic objectives.

Required Skills and Experience

Qualifications

  • Strong alignment with NCC’s mission and values.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Relevant academic or professional background in the field of interest is preferred.

Commitment

The internship duration and weekly hours will be determined based on department needs and intern availability. Some roles may require specific commitments such as early morning or weekend availability.
