Missions at NCC
We are a people who, empowered by the Spirit, do what Jesus did, together—wherever we are. We advocate for the poor and oppressed, the vulnerable and marginalized. We care for the sick and sorrowful. We heal divisions through compassion, mercy, and open hearts.
NCC Missions isn’t a program or a place we go, but a way in which we are called to live in the world. We send teams to learn from and serve alongside long-term partners around the world. We also continue to seek the peace and prosperity of our own city (Jeremiah 29) by serving alongside local partners in DC and Northern Virginia.
We go with a towel around our waist to serve and to love and to care. Prayerfully discern where God is calling you to join the mission. We’re so excited to be on mission, and excited to see how God is going to work in and through you.
Ongoing relationship is at the heart of how we do missions at NCC.
Our desire is that missions will be a journey of transformation for NCCers, for our partner organizations, and for every person involved as we serve and pray together to see God’s kingdom come. We want to see every NCCer live ON MISSION EVERY DAY.
As we have for almost three decades, we carefully and prayerfully collaborate with missionaries and organizations across the globe. We combine the can-do attitude and passion of NCCers with the solid expertise of a missions partner. That combination, along with teamwork, prayer, technology, and funds, creates a powerful and sustainable way to maximize our impact locally and globally.
NCCers humbly come alongside our partners to grow as servants and students. We learn from their deep expertise in specific causes and cultures as our partnership grows. We believe that this model opens up the door for untold numbers to be touched by the transforming power of Jesus!
