For Group Leaders

In a big church like ours, it’s important for people to learn and grow in small-group community. Groups are the primary way we disciple and care for NCCers. Since group leaders are so vital to discipleship of NCCers, there are a few things we ask them to do in order to be prepared both spiritually and practically to lead.

Core Discipleship Courses

Core Discipleship Courses

Core Discipleship courses are great ways to help those in your group who are newer to faith or newer to NCC. They’re provided through the Thinkific app and are intended to be completed in the context of community, led by a Group Leader from National Community Church.

The Story

Reorient around the incredible story found within Scripture with Pastor Heather Zempel. We will explore the chronological story of the Bible through the lenses of geography, culture, and history. We will discover tools to help us read the Bible, understand its message to original audiences, interpret it in contemporary culture, and apply it to our everyday lives.

Beloved Community 101

This study examines the characteristics of what it means to be the Beloved Community. We will look at the seven characteristics that the early Church starts displaying when they receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit and start living on mission in community.

Commissioned

This interactive study explores the foundations of an active and engaged Christian faith: how to grow and thrive as someone who studies the WORDS, imitates the WAYS, and lives on the MISSION of Jesus.

Child Care Reimbursement

Child Care Reimbursement

To help parents with children participate in groups, NCC will reimburse them up to $30 for each week they utilize child care in order to attend a group. NCC only reimburses parents; NCC does not select, hire, or pay babysitters and does not provide IRS Form 1099 to either parents or babysitters.

Parents must be attending a group registered with NCC to be eligible. Reimbursement is made at NCC’s sole discretion and may be discontinued at any time.
