Welcome home. No matter where you’ve been or where you’re going, there’s a place for you at National Community Church. When you’re here, it’s our hope that you feel seen, heard, and loved. It’s also important to be equipped for your lifelong journey with Jesus. One of the best ways to do that is by joining one of our core groups. During these short-term groups, you can explore faith together with others on the same path.

Get Baptized
Baptism immerses us in the story of Jesus. For thousands of years, baptism has been a defining mark of followers of Jesus. Jesus started His ministry with baptism and then included baptism in His final command to His followers at the end of His ministry. When we take the step of being baptized, it immerses us into the story of Jesus. We die to all that is old and bury it under the water. We are then raised in the power of His resurrection to the new life we can experience in Him.
Baptism also serves as a powerful marker in your faith story. It is a reminder of the forgiveness, freedom, and relationship He initiated with you. On some days, it is hard to really believe we are still forgiven. Some days, we find ourselves wrestling with old hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Some days, we just don’t feel like Jesus is very close. Those are the days when we can cling to that moment of baptism to remember that it’s not about what we’ve done for Jesus, but what Jesus has done for us.
If you have made a decision to follow Jesus and have not yet been baptized, we would love to be a part of that step in your faith journey!
Take the Alpha Course
If you’re questioning your faith, returning to faith, or just exploring what you believe — The Alpha Course might be a great place to start. The 11-week course meets Monday nights. At Alpha, you can explore the Christian faith over dinner in a setting designed for conversation, questions, and community. It’s free, and all are welcome! Email alpha@national.cc for more information.
At NCC, we run the Alpha Course several times a year, either online or at Ebenezers Coffeehouse @ 7:00pm.

Attend a Young Adults Gathering
Are you 18-35 years old and living in the DC area?
NCC Young Adults gathers twice a month to develop new friendships, grow existing ones, and be challenged in our faith. We’ll hear from compelling speakers and peer mentors and have the opportunity to discuss in groups. Come hungry—food will be provided! Follow us on Instagram to stay connected.
